For anyone wondering just how does this Speed Dating thing work??

How does Speed Dating work?

Register on-line for Speed Dating in your area. (Advanced registration is required)
Show up at venue (club, restaurant, hotel, ect.) a few minutes early.
Receive your number, name tag and dating cards.
Get your complimentary drink of choice and mingle with other singles.
When time to start (music starts) - take your assigned seat and start your six minute date.
When the music stops - mark your card with that person's name and assigned number- (IF you want to see them again) - then go to next seat.
When ½ the fun dates are complete you will have an intermission (15 minutes) to mingle, get another drink, enjoy complimentary snacks or use the restroom.
Finish the rest of the fun dates and stick around to eat, drink and mingle some more!!(and don't forget to turn in your cards!)
When ready to leave- check out with the host and get your list of potential future dates!

According to the English dictionary True Love is defined as: The form of romantic affection that is
considered pure and wholly positive; The unique individual for whom one feels such affection.

We all know the fairy tales from our childhood. We have all seen how much people are in love on TV. You probably
know a couple in love.
Love seems so wonderful… but why are so many people - or should I say most people - not
Finding True Love in their life?

Because they didn’t try Speed Dating!! LOL - no just kidding.

Seriously though… in today’s world
there is so much stress - we tend to feel having someone (even if we know it’s the wrong person) is better
than being alone. Or we choose someone using those stupid Love Myths.

Then we end up breaking up or going thru a divorce. And the process starts all over with the first one that
catches our eye or sparks that chemistry…just to be disappointed again.

So how do you break this cycle? Well for starters… you need to think what you want in a partner.
What is important to YOU?
Think back at past relationships - write down what you liked or miss. Then write down what you didn’t like
and what you don’t miss.
If you’ve never had a relationship - look at your friends - your parents or grandparents - make your
list from what you have observed.

Now when looking for that special someone... don’t settle for just anyone. Stick to what's on your list -
remember what is important to YOU - also keep in mind - love is a two way street.
You have to be a person that someone else wants to love and be with.

And please don’t fool yourself… There are no perfect people!! And there IS no "perfect" love. True Love
is give and take - ups and downs -
good and bad and quite frankly… quite a hard job!

Some people might say finding true love happens several times in a lifetime - others might say only
once - and there are some that say never. I say… it depends how open your heart is and how smart you are in
choosing a partner.

Are you willing to open your heart and let another in? Are you willing to work at
finding the right one?

So if you want to adventure into the world of speed dating… gather your thoughts - make a list of want’s and
don’t want’s
(either in your mind or on paper… me - I have to write every thing down!!) And come with an open heart -
open mind and ask those
questions that you really want to know. But most of all - have fun!
